UC Davis Fencing Club

UC Davis Fencing Club Constitution 2019-20                           
This document details the expectations for club members as well as necessary rules and policies outlined by the fencing club administration. By signing this document, members agree to adhere to all expectations set forth by the club and comply with club, NCIFL, and UCD policies.

Membership Expectations:
  • Complete insurance requirements, including purchasing the fencing admin fee, electronically signing related forms/waivers, and filling out an emergency contact through the myrecreation website.
  • Comply with the UCD code of conduct and UCD Sports Clubs regulations/policies, including maintaining status as a currently enrolled student.
  • Comply with NCIFL and club policies, including refraining from unsportsmanlike conduct, in accordance with applicable USFA rules and regulations.
  • Pay dues quarterly, dependent on one’s role in the club and level of participation in terms of attendance.
  • Represent UC Davis and the Northern California Intercollegiate Fencing League appropriately at all club-related events and tournaments.

Presidents maintain authority to remove individuals deemed ineligible for club membership based on conduct and/or lack of adherence to UCD or NCIFL rules and regulations.

In accordance with the UCD Sport Clubs program, the fencing club administration will not tolerate any exclusion, discrimination, or harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnic group, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability. Violation of this policy will be handled with disciplinary action on a case-by-case basis.

In accordance with California state law, fencing club members will not participate in hazing activities, and violation will result in suspension or expulsion from the club as well as potential action taken by UCD Student Judicial Affairs and/or referral to local law enforcement agencies.
